If We Blog it Will They Come?
Jacob here with ruminations on situations. I know we haven’t blogged much in the past (not at all actually), but I’m hoping this will become a weekly or bi-weekly thing to keep people informed and up to snuff on everything Swellship/my own ego. I will be updating this page with progress reports pertaining to music making, upcoming shows and general tomfoolery. Here goes.
First up, we have a show on April 16th. Oh my golly is this thing going to be amazing! We will be finger licking our noise makers of course, and so will many of our friends. Yes, we have friends.

Ptench will be playing (and they rock!).
This is our 3rd show with Ptench, I dig their aural assault so much I’d play with them a 4th time (coming June 6th, Cagibi). Also playing tunes is Bomb Camera, a wonderfully dovey electro-love duo that hangs notes in the air like curtains in the kitchen, lovely!
Speaking of love, we have a special guest that will be showing much love… to one lucky microphone. That’s right, we got Ghost Taco to perform at our show. What!?!?! You say? Yes, the rhythmic vagina music extra-ordinaire will be at our show playing for us her most intimate compositions. People attending should be prepared to open their ears and keep their mouths agape. Warning: There is a splash zone in effect for the first 3 rows.
Also performing is Marisa Hoicka. I’ve seen her break dance, fondle chairs and eat olives without the modern convenience of hands. What will she come up with next? I don’t know, but I will be there to find out.

Moneys: 5 Dollars, that’s 1 dollar per act. So much value!
